Touch Africa

Touch Africa is a new eco tourism project created by 14 students of the La Rochelle Business School in cooperation with Leka Gape in 2008. The team is composed of students specialized in tourism and environment.

Our aim is to create a sustainable tourism project. This project is planning to offer combined holidays and volunteer programs for adults and families from France in the region of Limpopo and particularly in Lulekani.

Actually, the tourists will not only visit but they also will participate in local life and social projects of Leka Gape. They will experience the real South African life.

To carry out this project we have been working in France and will go to South Africa for a 4 months internship. Since January we have developed our preliminary project and business plans, conducted research for fund-raising, market research etc.

We have also founded the association Touch Africa for this project and in May we will start the voluntarism project in Lulekani. During our stay in Lulekani we will be coached and guided by Leka Gape employees and volunteers.

We all believe in this project and we are very excited to implement it.
